Spring Clean Your Skin Care Routine

Spring has come, the weather has changed, and you also need to alter the approach of taking care of your skin. It’s the time for your skin to bloom after the winter season. Here are some tips to follow for fresh spring smooth and glowing skin.

Use Lighter Lotion

In humid and warm weather, you tend to sweat more. So, switch to a lighter moisturizer (less oil, more water) if your skin is normal. Don’t use a rich moisturizer if you have oily or acne prone skin. There is a need to rebuild the skin and replenish it after a cold, dry season.

Exfoliate the Skin

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells, giving room for the skin to breathe. Exfoliate your skin once a week as it helps the moisturizer to get absorbed quickly into the skin. Sunscreen lotions also get absorbed more uniformly in the skin.

Harmful Rays of the Sun

Protecting your face from harmful sun rays is essential. It’s not just essential for preventing sunburn, but also pigmentation and skin diseases like rosacea and skin cancer. Remember to shade your face by wearing a brimmed hat and protect your eyes with sunglasses.

Use Light Makeup

Spring is the great time for your skin to look natural. In warmer seasons, you sweat. If a lot of makeup is applied, it can lead to clogged pores and acne. Stick to a lighter foundation that will not clog your pores and will keep the skin healthy and glowing.

Soap Use

Due to the heat, you may end up bathing frequently. If so, you should avoid using soap. Soap and water remove the oils from your skin allowing the skin to become dull and dry. When possible just rinse the skin with cool water so that it locks the moisture into the skin.

Sunscreen

Use waterproof, broad spectrum sunscreen to prevent the skin from clogged pores on lighter skin. Use sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher.

Taking care of your skin in the spring season is important. Keep your skin hydrated to have healthy and glowing skin. Let your glowing skin speak for itself.
